Hearing loss means full or partial decrease in the ability to detect or understand sounds.


Hearing Loss Symptoms

Types of Hearing Loss

Conductive Hearing Loss

This type involves an obstruction in the outer or middle ear. It can be treated successfully by medical or surgical procedures.

Sensorineural Hearing Loss

This is the most common type of hearing loss. It involves the inner ear and it is most commonly treated by the use of a hearing instrument.

Mixed Hearing Loss

This is the result of both conductive and sensorineural components.
